What are the 3 types of GST?

 Goods & Service Tax (GST) is an Indirect Tax.

There are 4 Types of GST

1. UTGST (Union Territory Goods & Service Tax)
2. CGST    (Central Goods & Service Tax)
3. SGST    (State Goods & Service Tax)
4. IGST     (Integrated Goods & Service Tax)

But majorly only Three types of GST is mostly used by all Tax payers and they are

1. CGST   (Central Goods & Service Tax)
2. SGST    (State Goods & Service Tax)
3. IGST    (Integrated Goods & Service Tax)

CGST & SGST is equally distributed between both state and central and IGST is levied on Interstate Transaction (Outside the state purchase/sale) and IGST is collected by Central Government.
